Morocco - Taza and the Great Mosque

Taza is an ancient city whose importance dates back to the Almohad period (12th century AD) during which several defensive works (enclosure and bastions) were erected, and in particular the great mosque which contains an important chandelier imported from Andalusia as a result of the battle of Alarcos. An important crossroads between the East and West of the country, the strategic location of the city located in elevation in a narrow pass gives it a historical epic which spread over several centuries.
