The Palais de Rey-Bouba, a major witness to the history of the Lamidat of the same name, is a place of memory and identity still alive. It was built during the reign of NDJIDDA (1798-1866) between 1805 and 1808. It is located in the heart of the city of Rey-Bouba. The Palace has an area of ​​approximately 5 hectares. It is surrounded by a high wall of about 7 meters, with a central entrance in the south facade. The interior of the Palace includes courtyards, vegetable gardens and several neighborhoods. On the structural level the palace consists of a great wall 800 meters long and 7 meters high with a thickness of 1.50 m at the base and 0.5 m at the top.
