The ecological richness, specificity of this lake, consists of aquatic plants including water lilies, Potamogeton and marsh plants such as papyrus. There are also reptiles such as Dasypeltis scabra, amphibians and specific fish. Beyond the lake is a savannah made up of a few Acacia and Combretum trees.
