Uruguay - La Rambla (promenade) of the City of Montevideo

The good is affected like National Historical Monument by Resolution of the Executive authority Nº 584/86 of the 14 of August of 1986. Therefore, it is also included like Good of Municipal Interest, by Decree of the Departmental Legislative of Montevideo Nº 26864 from 5 August 1995. La Rambla runs through three areas under heritage protection: The Old Town, Pocitos, Carrasco and Punta Gorda, each under the tutelage of its respective Permanent Special Commission. In the same way, five public spaces with patrimonial assignment to the national rank: The Central Cemetery, Parque Rodó, Parque de las Instrucciones del Año XIII (known as Golf), Parque Hansen y Plaza Virgilio. Finally, we should also note along the Rambla several buildings that enjoy national or departmental protection. In the last case, these were occasional assignments either as a National Historic Monument or as a Municipal Interest Property, but also as buildings that are included in the heritage catalogs of the aforementioned areas.
