Morocco - Cave of Taforalt
Prehistoric site of the Paleolithic period of international renown (Mechtoide population). It is a gallery about 55 meters deep characterized by a stratigraphic filling telling the entire history of the Upper Paleolithic of North Africa. From this cave were exumerated an important lithic industry and a necropolis consisting of about one hundred individuals belonging to the mechtoide type (modern man of North Africa). This population dates from about 20000 BC.
