Mali - Es-Souk

The remains of Es-Souk are 1 km long and 0.50 km wide. They include ruins of houses and (where the walls are still well drawn are more than 50 cm high) mosques and several necropolises marked by quadrangular enclosures and apparently pre-Islamic tombs indicated by stone tumuli. Many rocks around the site are covered with rock carvings.
