Guatemala - Visis Cabá National park and Triangulo Ixil Vernacular Architecture
It is a National Park that has a covered area for pluvial ecosystem l. It belongs to the Bioma of Humid Subtropical Forest, with areas of life that goes from the Forest very Humid-Montano Under, until the Forest Humid-Montano Under, their flora is considered of cloudy forest, latifoliado and mixed. It is a little altered, what has favoured the functions of soil production, those of energy distribution, as well as the great potential landscape. The area also lies within the Maya Biosphere Reserve, surrounded by a forest concession called the Árbol Verde Community, which is comprised of nine communities: El Caoba, el Remate, Socotzal, El Porvenir, Las Viñas, Ixlu, Macanché, Naranjo and Jobompich.

The caves of Naj Tunich are proposed as cultural heritage for its outstanding prehispanic rock art. Naj Tunich in the Mayan language of Quiché means "stone house" and it is actually a single cave with a number of branches. The front portion is quite wide providing an impressive access point that greets its visitors. This cave was used by the ancient Maya of southeastern Petén as a center of worship and as a result many clues to this civilization’s magical and religious beliefs have been acquired. Its geological formations are of exceptional beauty and the painted images date back 2,000 years.
Guatemala - Tak'alik Ab'aj National Park
The archaeological site Tak'alik Ab'aj is in the municipality of El Asintal, Department of Retalhuleu, in the southwestern region of Guatemala and its candidacy is proposed as a cultural heritage.
It is situated at a height 600 meters above sea level in the well-drained slopes of the volcanic chain that runs along the Pacific coast. Its location is at a natural and strategic point the cuts through the mountains and leads to the highlands and it must have been deliberately selected as to allow Tak'alik Ab'aj to function as the connection point in the network of the trade prevailing in this area. As a result of its location, the site developed into one of the most important economic and cultural centers during remote pre-Columbian times.
