Tunisia - El Feija National Park

The national park of El Feijaa has been invested by man since prehistoric times, namely 10,000 years ago (Neolithic). The presence of flint and cut obsidian attests to this presence. The prehistoric appropriation of this site is further evidenced by traces of cave paintings in the Kef Negcha Rocks, which might once be considered a place of worship for indigenous peoples. Later, Numidian remains and ruins dating back 2000 years, suggest that the site was sprinkled with fortresses and fortified relics on behalf of powerful Numidian kings such as the legendary Massinissa, the legendary Jugurtha or Juba.
