Gabon - Moukalaba-Doudou National Park

The Moukalaba Doudou National Park is the meeting of two former protected areas, Moukalaba and Monts Doudou, which have been merged into a national park, by Decree No. 616 / PR / MEFEPEPN of 30 August 2002, "classifying the national park of Moukalaba-Doudou ", extending over 449,548 km2. The site is located in southwestern Gabon, between Loango and Mayumba National Parks; it is part of the protected area complex of Gamba. It is accessed through a network of tracks and landing strips. Moukalaba-Doudou has very diverse habitats: humid tropical forests (lowland swamp forests, mid-altitude forests, gallery forests on the heights), shrub savannas, dominated by grasses such as: Andropogon chinensis, Andropogon Gayanus, Anadelphia afzeliana.
