"City founded on Mount Zerhoun by Idriss I the founder of Islamic state in Morocco in the late seventh century. It is of a spiritual nature that allowed the establishment of several monuments and religious shrines which the most important is the mausoleum Moulay Idriss. The city is characterized by Islamic architecture developed and designed in a style perfectly integrated in the local cultural environment"
